Two weeks ago I spotted these two white bowls. I paid $4.00 for both and really only bought them because I liked the way they looked. They say Franciscan Dining Made in the USA on the back of them.
On Saturday I went to a garage sale and this lady had a ton of pottery and guess what.... She had another white bowl, a teal one and a yellow cream a sugar. I had to have them.
I guess that makes me a collector of Franciscan Pottery now. I paid $8 for the 4 new pieces, so I am in a total of $10. Not bad for a cool collection. I love the colors. I looked up the history and found this site: http://www.gmcb.com/franciscan/. They are not that old (about as old as I am) but worth a little more than I paid. I can't wait to watch this collection grow.
not too shabby

Amazingness (minus the lamp shades)
I found two of these amazing lamps at Goodwill the other day.
Isn't the base beautiful? They came with these shades
which I love, but they are in horrible shape. I found similar shades online, but they are like $60 each and part of what makes these lamps so amazing is that they were just $3.99 each. I really don't want to pay that much, so what do you think of these $14.99 shades from Target?

Do you think these shades are too white? I am thinking I could add more white. I really want to add more pillows and obviously something over the sofa, so what if I picked something more white to bring it all together? Am I just trying to talk myself into something just because it is cheap????
